A MAN and woman have been arrested and charged with setting fire to two cars in separate arson attacks in Adelaide's southern suburbs.
A MAN and woman have been arrested and charged with setting fire to two cars in separate arson attacks in Adelaide's southern suburbs.
Police will allege the pair — a 47-year-old Sheidow Park woman and a 37-year-old man of no fixed address — set a car alight in the carpark of a block of units at Quintus Terrace, Dover Gardens about 9am Sunday.
Police and fire crews were then called to another car fire at Ailsa Ave, Warradale about 15 minutes later and found a white Kia sedan alight.
"In both incidents, the cars were severely damaged and no injuries were reported," a police spokeswoman said.
"Investigators wish to reassure the public that the people involved in these incidents are known to each other and they were not random attacks."
The man and woman were found soon after the second fire and arrested and charged with two counts of arson.
They were refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
